As for the face, I'm very fair skinned and ALWAYS wear sunscreen, a tan is not worth looking 80 when you're 30. Try using a liquid that contains a bronzer and if you want to be darker add a bronzing powder. This allows you to control the oiliness of the skin and also get just the right amount of color. Remember, you can still tan through sunscreen, so try putting it on and hitting the beach for a bit to tan up your legs and body.

Get a fake tan that lasts one day, that you can wash off in the shower.
I wouldnt recommend using a make-up because sometimes they can look orange-y. although MAC do do an all over body foundation, look on their site to find out more info. :)

Leg makeup?
im trying to cover up leg veins (since im only a teen) i want one i can go swimming in. and where can i get it? is sally hanson ok to swim in or will it come off?Leg makeup?
ignore all those who tell u 'u were born that way and such' i also have leg veins and have had them since i was 12 so i understand how u feel. as a young teen i used to mix half part liquid foundation and half part moisturiser and put it on. unless u towel dry it wont come of.

You could use Sally Hansen although I have never swam with it I have gone running though and the sweat didn't take it off. I would suggest tanning as the best alternative to cover veins either by outdoor sun bathing or sun bed, but these two suggestions aren't necessarily the healthiest options, so do what I do, use the self tanning body lotion, it takes a while to build a tan but it gives a natural even suntan and doesn't mess up your clothes. Nivea has a great one and it's the one I use.

for your hair i would say have it down in spiral curls w/ sparkles or have it in a twisted bun with some pieces hanging down that are curled, and again, put sparkles in your hair.

I've got a massive bruise on my leg , how can i get rid of it without makeup for a party on friday ??
Some anti-inflammatory medicine (ibuprofen) would help. There are a lot of articles online that suggest pressing fresh crushed parsley on it, but that's probably a little excessive. I wouldn't worry about it too much though, I doubt people will take much notice.

Rub arnica oil on it daily...or you can take arnica in a homeopathic formula orally...but don't use arnica oil orally, just topically. It works wonders for reducing swelling and bruising.

then use heat (preferably moist heat, like sit in a hot bath or shower) until it goes away.
heres the chemistry of it: when you get injured (or bitten by something, break a bone, etc) there are chemical reactions going on in your body. these reactions slow down in cold, and go faster with heat. so by icing an injury immediately, you are making it cold (obviously) and slowing the chemical reactions, and therefore not allowing the injury to get as bad as it would!

Even the stuff used to cover up tattoos is not completely waterproof. If you're really shy about your scars, wear a skin tone nylon or use spray on or self tanning lotions. Even the stuff used to cover up tattoos is not completely waterproof. If you're really shy about your scars, wear a skin tone nylon or use spray on or self tanning lotions. Help! My parents won't let me shave my legs or let me wear makeup.?
Okay, well I'm 13 and really honest with my parents so I won't do anything without their permission. I've tried waxing and using Nair/Veet but they take too long, are pretty expensive and using Nair/Veet is smelly. I've looked up a lot of things to try and convince my parents to let me shave but no matter what I say, they will keep saying ';No';. My parents shut down the idea of makeup too. People can be so mean, dont let it get to you.
That is excatly how I feel my mom gets mad when I wear makeup, so she is like you don't need makeup. You are fine without it. But about shaving if it isnt very much needed rite now thats ok if it is bad, say mom can I plz shave my legs they need it. Hope it helps

being the oldest, i definitely had this same exact problem. here's how to deal with it...
Shaving:
keep some Nair in the bathroom to make it look like you use it, but go out to the store and buy a razor (the brand doesn't really matter)and some shaving cream (skintimate mango is the best) and just hide it in your room or the bathroom.
Makeup:
gradually work up to it. start by buying some mascara. put just a little bit on so your parents probably won't notice. if they never find out about that, start using eyeliner on the top of your eyes, just a thin layer. once you move past that, apply just a little eyeliner on the bottoms, very light and only halfway across. just continue with everything else and eventually they'll just be used to it.

I dont remember 14 year olds wears makeup when they are going out In Malaysia, Maybe only when ure playing with your mom's stuff and trying it out. But never out this young.

Most asian people have old fashion minds... wearing make up means youre either trying to get boys or... you already have one. *laugh* Yes Asian Parents will not want you to do that, They are rather afraid that you will end up being one of the young teenage mother.

im almost 14 too and i've been shaving my legs since 4th grade. I do wear makeup too but not all the goth black around my eyes and stuff. Just some pretty eye shadow, mascrara, blush, concealer, and lip stick/gloss. You're mom might not let you do these things because she probably still thinks of you as her ';little girl'; and doesn't want to see you with makeup etc. Hope I helped + good luck.

im light skinned with dark knees...when i wear shorts i usually try to cover my knees with foundation and powder...it looks ok in some types of lighting but in daylight it looks all red and dark...is their any leg makeup i can apply that wont look so obvious in daylight or do i need to get makeup that is a litttle lighter than my natural skin color....my legs are paler than my face and armsMakeup for legs and dark knees

As for shaving, there several options:
1.) Use Veet hair removal cream. I have it and it works great. It doesn't burn at all, and it comes with a tool to remove the hair, but it's not a razor blade, so it's perfectly safe.

I had the same problem! Except I could wear makeup. But anyway, I couldn't shave and it's SO embarrasing because you know you need to! Sometimes they just don't want to face the fact you're maturing. Anyway, my mom just finally said it'd be okay because it was almost summer and I had a baton twirling camp to go to and I'd be wearing a lot of shorts. She made me start out with that Nair stuff though. It smells but it works! Instead of Nair though I suggest Veet. It doesn't smell! You just rub it on, wait, then wipe it off and ta-da! No hair! So here's a plan: While you're walking through some store, make sure you get on an aisle with Nair, Veet, or shaving stuff. Casually point to one of the Nair or Veet bottles and say ';Ohh, whats that? How does it work?'; You know, stuff like that. After she explains ask if you can try it. Yeah everybody is right 13 is a good age I knew someone who is just about thirteen and she was already shaving her legs. The makeup thing maybe you should start at age 16 or older try it once if your that old.
Prove to her that you are mature enough to do these things. I think girls should be allowed to shave their legs when entering middle school. Girls should be allowed to wear a little makeup when they are in middle school also but only maskara, lipgloss, and blush..that sort of thing. Just make sure your mother knows that you can be responsible with the makeup and shaving your legs.

I really think with make up it depends on your age. As far as shaving , if you have embarrasing visible hair I would hope your mom would reconsider. It's hard enough growing up. The sooner you shave your legs, the more often you will have to shave them for the rest of your life!!!! Hold out as long as possible and perhaps suggest something like mineral type makeup so your enhanced not all colored....

It depends on your age. Seriously but, put off shaving for as long as possible, coz once you start you can't ever ever stop. It is a curse!!! Word of advice to you, never shave your legs, get your Mum to take you to the beautician and get a wax. May be a little uncomfortable the first time but much easier and less fussy than shaving, with better longer lasting results.
Sit down and discuss it with her, you did not mention how old you are, I think 11 is old enough to start shaving your legs and under arms.

Okay first of all it depends on your age. But I started shaving when I was 12-13 because I needed to.
So here's a way to go about it.
Sit down and talk to your mom, tell her you feel uncomfortable with the hair on your legs and you want her to show you how to shave so that you don't feel awkward. If she says it doesn't matter what others think, express to her that it's not what others think but its what you think and feel, plus if you get the hang of it now, you'll have less nicks when it's more important for your legs to be shaved.
Second, as to makeup that is a tough one. I wouldn't wear foundation until you need to, but maybe talk to her letting her know that you would like to wear subtle things. For instance, you could use tinted moisturizer. It's very subtle, keeps your skin healthy with moisturizer but isn't too thick.
Then you could wear very light shimmery eyeshadows and lip gloss, if you do things like this, it won't look like your being too old for your age but just becoming more mature.
Makeup may be a hard one for you to sell. I know I was about 14 when I started wearing it. Try to sympathize with her and when she was that age, how she felt.
Good luck, and remember if she says no, don't sneak it, it'll make her not trust you. Just bide your time and talk to her again.

It depends on how old you are.
First of all if you need your parents approval to do it then you probably aren't old enough to be doing it in the first place. If you are in junior high or high school you don't really need to wear make up it's not like you have anything to cover up, you are still young. I did start wearing make-up when I was in high school thought, although it's pointless, because there isn't anyone to impress. It's just high school.
Shaving your legs though....if you are in puberty just go to a drug store and buy a razor and shave your legs. You don't need to ask you mom. Heck, if she is so hell bent on your not shaving hide it somewhere or buy the disposible kind. Tell her you are embarrassed by your hairy legs and see how far that gets you. That's what I did and eventually my mother gave in. No one likes to see her daughter get made of fun of for something that can be avoided.

As for shaving, there several options:
1.) Use Veet hair removal cream. I have it and it works great. It doesn't burn at all, and it comes with a tool to remove the hair, but it's not a razor blade, so it's perfectly safe.
2.) Use either the Finishing Touch or the Body Touch. They also tools that remove hair without blades or even hair removal cream. I used both of them and they worked really well.My mum doesnt let me wear makeup or shave my legs!Does anyone know a way to get her to let me do these things?
I had the same problem! Except I could wear makeup. But anyway, I couldn't shave and it's SO embarrasing because you know you need to! Sometimes they just don't want to face the fact you're maturing. Anyway, my mom just finally said it'd be okay because it was almost summer and I had a baton twirling camp to go to and I'd be wearing a lot of shorts. She made me start out with that Nair stuff though. It smells but it works! Instead of Nair though I suggest Veet. It doesn't smell! You just rub it on, wait, then wipe it off and ta-da! No hair! So here's a plan: While you're walking through some store, make sure you get on an aisle with Nair, Veet, or shaving stuff. Casually point to one of the Nair or Veet bottles and say ';Ohh, whats that? How does it work?'; You know, stuff like that. After she explains ask if you can try it. Yeah everybody is right 13 is a good age I knew someone who is just about thirteen and she was already shaving her legs. The makeup thing maybe you should start at age 16 or older try it once if your that old.
Prove to her that you are mature enough to do these things. I think girls should be allowed to shave their legs when entering middle school. Girls should be allowed to wear a little makeup when they are in middle school also but only maskara, lipgloss, and blush..that sort of thing. Just make sure your mother knows that you can be responsible with the makeup and shaving your legs.

I really think with make up it depends on your age. As far as shaving , if you have embarrasing visible hair I would hope your mom would reconsider. It's hard enough growing up. or raise up your grades.that makes you seem more responsible and another reason why she should treat you.
The sooner you shave your legs, the more often you will have to shave them for the rest of your life!!!! Hold out as long as possible and perhaps suggest something like mineral type makeup so your enhanced not all colored....

It depends on your age. Seriously but, put off shaving for as long as possible, coz once you start you can't ever ever stop. It is a curse!!! Word of advice to you, never shave your legs, get your Mum to take you to the beautician and get a wax. May be a little uncomfortable the first time but much easier and less fussy than shaving, with better longer lasting results.

Okay first of all it depends on your age. But I started shaving when I was 12-13 because I needed to.
So here's a way to go about it.
Sit down and talk to your mom, tell her you feel uncomfortable with the hair on your legs and you want her to show you how to shave so that you don't feel awkward. If she says it doesn't matter what others think, express to her that it's not what others think but its what you think and feel, plus if you get the hang of it now, you'll have less nicks when it's more important for your legs to be shaved.
Second, as to makeup that is a tough one. I wouldn't wear foundation until you need to, but maybe talk to her letting her know that you would like to wear subtle things. For instance, you could use tinted moisturizer. It's very subtle, keeps your skin healthy with moisturizer but isn't too thick.
Then you could wear very light shimmery eyeshadows and lip gloss, if you do things like this, it won't look like your being too old for your age but just becoming more mature.
Makeup may be a hard one for you to sell. I know I was about 14 when I started wearing it. Try to sympathize with her and when she was that age, how she felt.
Good luck, and remember if she says no, don't sneak it, it'll make her not trust you. Just bide your time and talk to her again.

First of all if you need your parents approval to do it then you probably aren't old enough to be doing it in the first place. If you are in junior high or high school you don't really need to wear make up it's not like you have anything to cover up, you are still young. I did start wearing make-up when I was in high school thought, although it's pointless, because there isn't anyone to impress. It's just high school.
Shaving your legs though....if you are in puberty just go to a drug store and buy a razor and shave your legs. You don't need to ask you mom. My insurance may pay for varicose veins (scherlotherapy- probably misspelled this) however I doubt it. Those fake tanning lotions do not cover them. I've never had a desire to cover them up but if I had to for work I'd just wear a long sleeve shirt or pants. For me accepting that was the first step to actually getting my first tattoo. I don't think they're particularly hard to hide.

If I was going to be embarrassed of them, I never would have got them to begin with. I have 8 all together. They can be shown when I'm not at work and hidden when I am. Minus a few places, most tattoos can be covered without makeup, which I've heard doesn't work anyway.

Do models wear makeup on their legs to cover up scars?
On runway shows the models have perfect legs. I know that their legs are naturally like that. But are there any models that wear makeup over the scars they have on their legs? Or bettr could you get them removed?Do models wear makeup on their legs to cover up scars?

I think that as soon as a considerable amount of hair grows on a girl's armpits and legs that they should be able to shave them. I was 11 when I first shaved. I started wearing makeup when I was 13 and in 8th grade.
I think you should explain to your parents that it is embarrassing you that you have hairy legs, and that you feel that you are mature enough to shave your legs. If they let you, be very careful as it is easy to cut yourself a lot the first time. I know I did, lol. If you show them you can shave without cutting yourself maybe they will be okay with you shaving. You could also add in that the other girls your age are shaving and wearing makeup (if that is the case). Maybe start small with the makeup. You could start by asking them if you could wear eyeliner and work your way up from there to mascara, to eyeshadow, etc.

(Breasts, pubic hair, underarm hair) - if you have then explain to your mum that your body is changing and it is all part of puberty %26amp; you need to shave to help you cope with these changes and make you feel comfortable with your body as it changes....this is what my thought process was in allowing my nearly 11 year old to shave her legs! If the rest of her body is ready for change then I figured I should let her beable to control the changes in some way %26amp; give her confidence in herself for her own body.

Make up - I would say 14-15 for everyday wear but I let mine (9%26amp;10) wear make-up for parties/school discos - just a bit of lippy %26amp; eye stuff.
My daughter used Nair, rather than shaving, when she was in jr high school (middle school). My daughter seldom wears makeup and she's 19, wore a little once in awhile in jr high and high school, but not regularly.
Shaving- Around 12 maybe a little younger or older depending on how you're developing
Makeup- Around 13 it looks a little trashy if your younger then that

I was in your same situation when I was 11... I personally believe 11, but my parents thought shaving was unnatural! do it once, with your mom or dads, or if you are unconfirtqble with that, ask them if you can TRY! my mom said yes. then you tell them they should respect your opinion, that it is your body and decision. tell them if they don't guide you through it, you could make a foolish mistake in the future when your parents aren't there.
